Blame It On Mercury Retrograde

Mercury Retrograde Period 2020: February 17th – March 10th

What Mercury Retrograde Really Means

According to science, Mercury Retrograde means the planet Mercury casts off an apparent illusion that seems like it travels in a backwards motion in the sky. However, in astrology, Mercury is the ruler of all forms of communication and this includes things such as speaking, listening, negotiating, logical thinking, and connection. When Mercury enters retrograde (or any other planetary retrograde) this signifies an astrological event that impacts our lives. Yes, I know you’ve heard the rumors, stigmas, and fear surrounding Mercury Retrograde but I’m here to remind you that Mercury’s Retrograde is here to help us reflect, revise, reconsider, and redefine some of our intentions we set earlier in the year.

What To Do During Mercury Retrograde

Here’s a brief list of what to avoid, consider, and do during this three-week period:

1. Reflect. Think of this period as a ‘cosmic do-over’. Reflection is vital in this process, especially since you might experience delays, miscommunication, or technological difficulties. Don’t fret though, be present and extend gratitude by acknowledging where you are in this particular moment.

2. Rewind. Try to avoid starting new projects. If you already started something and can’t avoid it that’s completely fine, everything will still be okay. Instead, review all your commitments and legal contracts before signing them.

3. Renew. Renew your commitments and intentions before making new ones. This allows you to reflect on what commitment(s) you made in the past but want to still work on.

4. Reconnect. Reconnect with old memories that excite you and it allows you to take a stroll down memory lane if you’re feeling nostalgic.

5. Release. Release and forgive what’s unresolved so you can let it go.

The Light At The End Of The Tunnel

Remember, everything that happens isn’t because it’s done to you, but for you. Utilize this opportunity to handle unfinished business and slow down so you can emerge from this period feeling refreshed, recharged, and realigned!
