Hi, my name is Sasha, the creator of Black Girl Who Manifests. This platform was born in 2019 out of my deep desire to empower Black women to reconnect with their inner strength, embrace African spirituality, and manifest lives filled with purpose, joy, and abundance. I began this journey exploring my mind’s capacity for creation. I started by manifesting small things, like spotting an unusual-colored car, a text from a particular person, even free coffee! When I first got started, most of my education regarding manifestation came from teachers who unfortunately didn’t look like me. Once I realized this, it also registered that some of my manifestations were not happening or not staying. I had reached a plateau in my journey and didn’t know why.
That’s when I became familiar with African Spirituality. I watched lectures, read books, talked to practitioners — just to help me understand what it was. I grew up in Christianity, so I had to do a lot of unlearning and deconditioning in this process as well. As I fell in love with my ancestral practices, I in turn fell in love with myself. My self-esteem grew because I changed my perception of pre-colonial spirituality from “demonic” to enlightening. This opened up my understanding of life, purpose, and destiny in a much deeper way that “New Age” spirituality absolutely couldn’t. I was subsequently able to manifest my husband, something I had been trying to manifest for a few years prior. In addition, my psychic powers heightened, as well as my intuition strengthened.
However, as I began this journey, it wasn’t all rainbows and stardust. I was severely confused about my career path, because although I knew what I was supposed to do in this life, I felt fearful about it, thinking that these topics are too taboo, or worrying about what my religious friends and family would think, and even the anxiety that comes with carving out an unchartered path. I allowed myself to work jobs and apply for university programs that weren’t the right fit for me – all because of fear. I had a big revelation that these low vibrational experiences and emotions would continue to fester if I keep swaying from my purpose. I then made the decision to follow my purpose, my destiny, my intuition, and do what I came to Earth to do.
So what started as a small passion project has now grown into a community of over 60,000 women who believe in the power of purpose, manifestation, and ancestral connection. Through the services, tools and resources I share, I will teach you to live in an ancestrally aligned way and create the life that’s written in the stars for you.
An educator at heart with over six years of experience guiding Black women toward spiritual freedom, I focus on teaching manifestation from an African perspective. With a degree in Human Ecology, I deeply understand how culture, environment, and personal growth are intertwined. I draw on this knowledge to help women reconnect with ancestral wisdom and manifestation principles rooted in African spirituality. I believe these practices are the keys to unlocking a more authentic, empowered, and destiny-aligned self.
